The action of the novel “Sweet and Honor” takes place in Germany, in the center of the story is an attempt by the coup on July 20, 1944, the so -called “conspiracy of the generals” against Hitler. Along with fictional characters, real historical persons from the supreme command of the Ground Forces of Germany - officers from the encirclement, Colonel Stauffenberg, in this part, the novel is strictly documented. At the same time, against the backdrop of the final period of the war, the crashes of the Hitler Reich show the fate of the Soviet girl, stolen to Germany in 1941, a strong sense of love arising between her and the German officer Erich Dornber-Ger, part of the circle of conspirators. A wide picture of the anti -Nazi underground is given, the barbaric bombardment of Dresden is described.
