Sweet salt. Pakistani tales
Four large nations inhabit Pakistan. Syndhi is occupied by the lower reaches of the Indus valley; Penjabs live along the average course of this river and its tributaries; Belunji live in harsh desert areas near the border of Iran and South Afghanistan, Pashtu in the mountains in the very north of the country. And there are seraiks, Muhajirs, Shina, Kho, Balti, Burushaski... And although Pakistan is a young country, it is only 70 years old, the culture of these peoples is one of the most ancients. Excavations of archaeologists confirmed that people here lived five thousand years ago. And each of the many ethnic groups of Pakistan has their own folk songs, legends and, of course, fairy tales. About the poor huts and stupid genies, flying horses and carpets-sarckers, sea kings and wise shepherds. Tales with her color, which the artist Nick Golts tried to convey not only the ornaments and details of the drawings, but also with unusual technology - watercolors on almost transparent paper.
