System of things. Bodriyar

Jean Bodriyar is a French philosopher-postmodernist and one of the largest figures of humanitarian science of the second half of the 20th century. He owns such concepts as “hyperreality”, “simulacr” and “absolute event”, which are firmly entrenched in the actual philosophy and theory of modernity.

“System of things” is one of the first works of Jean Baudrillard, in which he unfolds the powerful criticism of the consumer society, outlining the whole further problem of his philosophy. It reveals the characteristic features of such a society and focuses on that influence in which passive abundance turns into an active element of public consciousness and human relationships.
