Konstantin Dmitrievich Ushinsky (1823-1871)-Russian teacher, writer, founder of scientific pedagogy in Russia.

The name of Ushinsky, both in Russian and in world pedagogy, occupies a special place. He is rightfully considered the founder of the Russian People's School. Ushinsky was not only a talented teacher, but also a wonderful children's writer. His works are visual moral lessons. Ushinsky’s stories about nature and animals (“Bunny complaints”, “Bee in reconnaissance”, etc.) bear special value - nature in them is shown as an indivisible world full of unknown secrets. Ushinsky also processed fairy tales for children, such as: “Wind and Sun”, “Two plows”, “Blind horse”, “Fox and goat”, “complaints of bunnies”, “Rooster and dog”, “Plutishka cat”, “Hunter to fairy tales "and others. He believed that through folk art children better “understand folk life”. The so-called “fables” are such as: “playing dogs”, “two goats”, “horse and a donkey” end with morality-teaching. The author’s works about children (for example, “four desires”, “Together is closely, and apart,“ cowardly Vanya ”,“ cowardly ”) with simple examples show children life lessons. They suggest what character traits are better to get rid of, what shortcomings can interfere in life.
