Tartaren from Taraskon. Dode A.
Not every author manages to create a literary character whose name will become a household name. The French writer Alfons Dode succeeded. The hero of his trilogy is Tartaren from Tarascon, cowardly, boastful, indestructible cheerful adventurer, in which Don Quixote and Sancho Pansa connected, glorified Dode throughout Europe. If in the first book of the trilogy Tartaren goes to Algeria to hunt Lviv (terrible predators have long been interrupted, so only the eastern beauties remain for him), then the second tireless shooter in the caps is in Switzerland and even climbs Mont Blanc, he communicates with Russian nihilists-revolutionaries and only miraculously evades participation in the attempt on the life of the Russian emperor. The third book of Port Taraskon is dedicated to the adventures of Tartaren on an island lost in the Pacific Ocean.
