This Textbook is written in accordance with the program of the discipline "General Physics" for higher technical educational institutions. It includes all the topics of the sections of "Electrostatika" and "Electromagnetism". The purpose of the manual is to give the student the opportunity to learn how to solve problems under the guidance of the teacher, for which the method of dialogue between the teacher and the student is used.

At the beginning of the manual, a chronology of discoveries of electrical and electromagnetic phenomena is given. Each topic begins with the consideration of the theory in the form of a dialogue between the teacher and the student, and ends with the analysis of the typical tasks performed in the same form.
