Tavrida: Earth Elisius
Irina Nikolaevna Medvedeva Tomashevskaya (1903–1973)-literary critic, wife of Pushkinist Boris Viktorovich Tomashevsky. Crimea was a favorite vacation spot of the Tomashevsky family, and Pushkin was the main poet in their life.
In the book “Taurida: Earthly Elisius” science and poetry were combined: essays based on documentary materials about the history of the peninsula from the 1760s to the 1830s and a description of Pushkin’s journey through Crimea. The publication is supplemented by the letters of Dmitry Sergeyevich Likhachev.
“Some things still remain difficult to explain. How could these family arking have survived among the totalitarian hassle, which has become a backdrop of everyday life? In life, as in literature, understanding comes through details: they wore dinners, read “Eugene Onegin” by heart, called each other “you”. They wrote worthy books. The reader is offered one of them. ” Evgeny Vodolazkin
