Technique and practice of psychoanalysis. 3rd edition, erased. Grinson R.R.
The textbook of the outstanding American psychoanalyst Ralph R. Grinson is one of the most readable and often reprinted manuals on the technique of classical psychoanalysis, it is recommended as a basic psychoanalyst training in the American program. The success of the book is largely explained by the fact that Grinson from “First -hand” conveys the clinical experience to the reader and devotes to the subtleties of the profession. He was one of the first to open the door to his office for the reader and allowed him to look at how psychoanalytic theory is embodied in practical work. In the book, Grinson examines in detail the technique of analyzing the transfer and resistance, the problems of establishing a working alliance, the position of the analyst and the requirements that the psychoanalytic situation puts forward. The book is addressed mainly to practicing psychoanalysts and students studying psychoanalytic technology, and will also be useful to all those interested in psychotherapy.
