“Teenager” (1875) of Dostoevsky-Roman-Vice, Roman of Education, it tells in detail about the formation of the character and life position of the young man of 19 years old, no longer quite a teenager, but not an adult. He is the illegitimate son of the landowner Versilov and the wife of the courtyard. The origin of the imprint on his whole life, he constantly feels the ambiguity of his position. Tormented by various experiences: conflicting feelings for the father, the desire to get rich and feel the powerful, the desire to fence off people and, on the contrary, thirsty to return to the most thick of life, a thirst for mutual love - Arkady finds himself in the monstrous binding of the events of the novel. So he grows up and comprehends life.

“Teenager”, of course, is a very modern novel, where the problems of youthful self -determination are presented with such a brilliant knowledge of human psychology that any, even an adult will involuntarily see in the portrait of the hero and its reflection.
