Robert Irvin Howard (1906–1936) is the legendary American writer, the “father” of the genre of heroic fantasy, including the author of the action -packed westerns presented in this collection. Famous robbers brothers Larram robbed the bank, while shooting a sheriff, and went to Mexico. Six years later, the last of the brothers, the tank, decides to return to his native lands and try to make amends. However, at the entrance to the city, an unknown rider tries to kill him. In addition, it turns out that a gang operates in the vicinity. Brothers Larah! The tank decides to solve this riddle. At the entrances to Vapeton, the local sheriff Middleton meets the Texas shooter, to whom he offers to take the place of his assistant. The previous one was killed by people from the gang of "vultures", terrorizing the city. The shooter agrees to defend the law and order, not yet knowing how things are really in Vapeton.
