After Andrei Bitov’s book “Battle” (“Non -Aristotle Poetics” - by definition of the author) in the “Small Book” series, we offer our reader a collection of essays “Text as a text”, which can be considered its continuation. The book “Text as a text” about how the struggle of words and letters is embodied in fate and names, which, according to the author, became inevitable in Russian literature... Rustaveli, Chekhov, Nabokov, Oleg Volkov, Mandelstam, Pushkin, Andrey Platonov, Yuz Aleshkovsky - this is the list of the main characters of the book.
