The textbook is intended for use by students in special (correctional) educational institutions of the first type in the lessons for the development of speech and subject-practical learning. The content of the educational material complies with the requirements of programs for the preparatory class and is aimed at learning and developing deaf children, as having a preschool training, but not as possible for the requirements of the 1st grade programs and previously not trained. The educational material corresponds to the psychophysiological capabilities of deaf children, is accompanied by multi -level tasks that suggest the formation of different forms of speech, including a dactic form as auxiliary means. In the appendix to the textbook, a visual-didactic material is placed to ensure the productive activity of children, as well as sets of split dactile alphabet.

Methodological pages reveal the fundamental principles and approaches in the work of the teacher, give recommendations on the use of the proposed content of the teaching aid to solve educational, corrective, developing and educational problems.
