Pyos Pytus appeared in France in 1945. He was invented by the artist and cartoonist Jose Kabrero Arnal. A funny PIF became the main character of comics, which were printed in newspapers and magazines. Soon, the stories about the PEF were so loved by French readers that they acquired a new format: they began to print separate books, shoot cartoons on them, and theatrical productions appeared.

Today, stories about the witty and inventive Pyphus and his friends - Uncle Caesar , Aunt Agatha, Kid Dudu and Cat Hercules - for Russian children, Grigory Beneconovich Oster wrote.
