The collective monograph “The Beginning of Intensional Philosophy: From late scholasts to mining” is an analytical study of the sources and some important aspects of the philosophy of Franz Brentano and his followers, primarily Alexius Minong. In the first part of the book (author G. V. Vdovin), probable ties between the Austrian intentional philosophy and late scholasticism are traced; Part two (V.L. Ivanov) is devoted to the central ontological problems of the philosophy of the Jesuits of the 17th century, with its obvious parallels of the concepts of Austrian philosophers XIX - beginning. XX centuries. The third part (V.V. Seliverstov and D. G. Mironov) analyzes the basic concepts of the intentional philosophy of the Brentano school.

Part Four (D. G. Mironov) considers the hypothesis of the philosophy of B. Bolzano as a possible gear link between late scholasticism and Austrian intentional thought, as well as the ethical concepts of Bolzano. In the fifth part (D.G. Mironov), the semantic innovations of A. Minong are studied.
