Dear reader!

The book that is in your hands is an exciting narrative in two parts. At the basis - real political events that took place in Gagauzia in 1990 and ended without much tragedy (and, most importantly, bloodless, which indicates the natural wisdom of the Gagauz), and a story that continued after 30 years, already with the manifestation of elements of mass heroism and selflessness of the Gagauz people. Then, fortunately, it was possible to overcome the political confrontation.

The author very accurately conveys the troubled atmosphere, mood in the rebellious city, the features of the speech of people of that time. The unity of the common people is perfectly shown, based on the feelings of ordinary people to each other and on the rejection of evil.

Peter Stanev masterfully manages to transfer the tension between people. The chronicle of events takes place before our eyes, and we, together with the author, clearly understand that the only correct resolution of the conflict will be to find a compromise to avoid serious bloodshed.
