The coast of Maclaya in diaries and notes of ethnographers. Ed. Tutorsky A.

The collection of documents includes texts that present the descriptions of the Maclay coast by scientists of various specialties in various time periods from the end of the XIX to the beginning of the XXI century: diary records of the naturalist O. Finsh, excerpts from the field notebooks of P. Lawrence, the diary of the physical anthropologist O.M. M. Pavlovsky, the texts of the specialist in oral history M. Mennis, as well as the field materials of employees of the Moscow State University and MAE RAS of the XXI century. They can be used as material for ethnographic research, to study the language situation of the region, as well as for understanding the “anthropology of anthropology”. All given texts are first published in Russian, equipped with geographical, ethnographic and historical comments made by the compilers of the collection.

The book will be interesting to both specialists - historians, ethnographers, linguists, culturalists - and the widest circle of readers.
