This book is the story of Lama Ole Nidal about his meeting with Buddhist teachers. In the late 1960s, during the time of hippies, rock and roll and amazing scientific discoveries, when the West was of great interest in Eastern philosophy and religion, the young Danes Ole and Hannah Nidal went on a wedding trip to Nepal. There they met with the head of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism by Gyalvoy Karmapa XVI and became his students. For several years, rebellious Europeans studied with Karmapa in the Himalayas and received the full transfer of the highest Buddhist methods of working with the mind. This training fundamentally changed their life. They left their previous habits in 1972 at the request of Karmapa returned to Europe to bring Buddhist teaching to the west.
