The Divine Comedy. Purgatory. Aligieri D.

This book presents the translation of the second Kantica of the greatest monument of world culture - “Divine Comedy” (1308–1321), performed by a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, doctor of pedagogical sciences V. G. Maantsman. Dante Aligieri, an educated person of his time, reflected in his poem the idea of ​​the world, knowledge and culture of the Middle Ages in its entirety, thus creating a real medieval encyclopedia of scientific, political, philosophical, ethical, theological knowledge. He combined in his creation the traditional genre of “walks” into the afterlife and innovative reflection of modernity. In the second part of the poem, the path is described through purgatory, part of the afterlife, where souls that managed to repent of perfect sins soon or later fall.
