Dore is called the greatest illustrator of the 19th century for the unsurpassed game of light and shadow in his graphic works.
This book presents the first full Russian translation, made by Dmitry Egorovich Min in accordance with all the features of the poetic size of the original, that is, the Tercyns. In 1907, the Imperial Academy of Sciences awarded the publication of the Divine Comedy in the translation of the MINA Award A.S. Pushkin, noting it as the best in Russian.
The third part of Dante’s poem - “Paradise” - is published in the translation of Nikolai Golovanov, also made with the preservation of the size and rhyme of the original.
