German National Socialism by its roots goes into the defeat of the German Empire in the First World War. The generation of German front -line soldiers believed that Germany had betrayed and put a knife in the back. From this idea, a revenge was born over time turned into National Socialism.

The book of a famous Russian historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences L.I. Ginzberg talks about how in the gray-green mass of veterans of the Kaiser Army in 1919 the ultranationalists appeared and how they came to racial theory.

The author considers the most important stages on the path of the Nazis to power - “Pivnoy Poet” in Munich in 1923, the bloody struggle on the German streets of the Nazis with the socialists, the formation of the Nazi faction in the Reichstag and finally a breakthrough to power in 1933.

In his work, Leo Ginzberg emphasizes “the 14-year history of the struggle of the Nazi party for power has been studied much less than the period of its stay in power” and makes a significant contribution to the study of Nazism and its crimes.
