The monograph discusses the poetic texts of the representatives of the "eastern branch" of Russian emigration (1920-1940s), associated with the image of the Motherland, Russia, St. Petersburg. The texts of the poets of the “Harbin-Shankhai” region-V. Poleshin, A. Nesmelov, A. Achair, F. Kamyshnyka, N. Peterets, N. Svetlov, V. Obukhov, N. Schegoleva, V. Marta, Yu. Kruzenshtern, are analyzed. T. Andreeva, directly related to the Russian literary tradition, with the so -called "Petersburg text."

The author of the work shows that the image of the Motherland was correlated in the minds of emigrant poets not only with the traditions of A. Pushkin, N. Gogol, F. Dostoevsky, A. Blok, but also consisted of finding the image of the second homeland ", China, who sheltered them during the years of revolutionary upheavals.
