The second part of the seventh volume (Volume VII.2) is devoted to the history of early Rome from ancient times to 220 BC. e. It was during this period that the future eternal city turned from a small settlement with a primitive public structure to the center of a powerful Mediterranean power, whose state structure was admired even by its rivals. The book analyzes the processes that took place on the territory of Central Italy at the beginning of the 1st millennium BC. e. and ultimately led to the foundation of the city on the Tiber, the formation of its main socio-economic, political and sacred institutions in the royal and vannerian periods is considered in detail, the first steps of Rome in the international arena are in detail-from clashes with the Latins and Etruscans who lived in the neighborhood to large-scale and victorious wars with the Greeks and Carthaginians. Separate chapters are devoted to the problem of sources in ancient Roman history and religious sphere of early Rome.
