Collections of the poems of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996) “Stop in the desert”, “End of the beautiful era”, “Part of speech”, “New stans by August”, “Urania” and “Landscaping” were published in 1970- The 90s in the American publishing house "Ardis", where the works of Russian literature were published for many years, which could not see the light in their homeland. Brodsky wrote that this publishing house saved numerous Russian writers and poets from oblivion and changed the climate of Russian literature itself. The collection “The End of the Beautiful Age” included poems of the late 1960s and early 1970s, among which “We are talking about the spille of milk”, “Dedicated to Yalta”, “Conversation with a celestial”, “Lithuanian divertissance” and others.
