Relationing the last centuries in the history of the Earth, the natural sciences converge in the fact that a person has a significant impact on the appearance of the planet. In 2000, the American biologist Eugene F. Stormer and the Dutch atmosphere researcher Paul Krutzen proposed to indicate the modern geological era with the term “anthropocles” - that is, the “era of man”. In the book of Eva, Binchik in detail analyzes a wide range of discussions around this concept - one of the most important for our time. How are the main philosophical dilemmas, axiological doubts and fears of the 21st century are verbalized through the prism of anthropocene? Why does this term make us reconsider the usual way of thinking about nature?
