In the book, based on previously unknown documents of a number of archives, memoirs and historical literature, the authors trace the fate of each of the members of the colleges and presidiums of the Cheka, GPU and the OGPU, who worked under the leadership of F.E. Dzerzhinsky from December 20, 1917 to July 20, 1926, repressed mainly during the period of large terror of 1937-1938, and the circumstances of their rehabilitation. Considerable attention is paid to their contribution to the formation and development of Soviet state security bodies.
