The history of linguistic teachings. General linguistics. Naumov V.V., Chekhovich I.A.

The textbook is intended for trunk -out and correspondence forms of training in the specialty "Linguistics". Profiles: “Translation and translation studies”, “Foreign language teacher”, “linguist-expert”. The main goal of the manual is an accessible presentation of the most urgent and complex problems of theoretical and applied linguistics, necessary for magizer students, future specialists in one of the most difficult areas of humanitarian knowledge-linguistics.

The first part of the manual is presented theoretical directions linguistics as science, starting from its origins, in expositions of prominent theorists of the language (V. von Humboldt, youngograms, I. A. Boduen de Curtene, F. de Saussure, etc.).

The second part contains lecture The material devoted to the analysis of the problems of the current state of the language, the causes and mechanism of its changes, language contacts, the relationship of the language and writing, the basics of ling -statistics. The glossary, which is used in the text, is completed by the concepts and terms, possibly unfamiliar to the reader.

The authors of the manual express the hope that theoretical and applied aspects of linguistics who are reflected on its pages will cause interest among students and will contribute to solving their professional problems in completing training in the magistracy.
