The history of the Russian fleet

The history of the Russian fleet is the path of formation and Russian statehood. Created by Peter the Great more than three hundred years ago, the Navy became the object of pride of all generations of Russians. The Russian fleet is stubborn work and heroism for the glory of the Fatherland, it is the combat power of our country, a guarantee of security and national interests, but above all it is strong spirit, unbending and infinitely devoted to the homeland people.

Russia is rightfully proud of its naval breeders: F.F. Ushakov, M.P. Lazarev, V. A. Kornilov, P. S. Nakhimov, S.O. Makarov and many others. More than 500 islands and bays outside our country wear the names of wonderful Russian pioneers-models: S. I. Dezhnev, V. I. Bering, A. I. Chirikova, D. Ya. And H.P. Laptev, F. P. Wrangel, O. Yu. Schmidt, S. I. Chelyuskin.
