Kamil Nicolas Flamarion (1842-1925) - a famous French astronomer, an outstanding popularizer of this ancient science. His books are still a model of the popular science literature genre. The famous "History of the Star Sky", written in the form of cognitive conversations, organically combines a scientific thought with a fascinating narrative. The second part of this study, presented in this publication, tells how the astronomical knowledge of mankind developed in the era of antiquity developed. Flammarion wrote about the main matter of his life: “Astronomy is the basis of general education, and without this science, a person would never know what place he occupies in the universe.”
