This work is the first experience in domestic historiography, which contains the evolution of the US foreign policy from the moment of their occurrence at the end of the XVIII century. And to the present day, its main stages and events stand out. The authors trace the process of forming and improving the foreign policy mechanism of the United States and the development of the conceptual base on which it functioned, the modernization of program-targeted installations in foreign policy.
The plots associated with the analysis of the main directions of the regional policy occupy an important place in the work. USA. The work is based on the study of a wide range of sources and literature of both domestic and American historians. It is the result of many years of teaching authors who for a long time read the relevant lecture courses in MGIMO and at the Faculty of History of Moscow State University.
