The novel is dedicated to the most tragic period of our history - revolution and the Civil War. Each of them chooses its own path, martyrdom and at the same time tragically beautiful - between honor and dishonor, fidelity and betrayal, sacrifice and treason, the salvation of Russia and a fall into the abyss of chaos and devastation.

The novel has many secrets and riddles that are associated with the ancient Egyptian Christian talisman received by the main character, 17-year-old warrant officer Sergei Rzhevsky, on the forefront from his older brother.
