Metropolitan Peter (Polyansky; 1862-1937)-Holy Martyr, Metropolitan Krutitsky, Locumstore of the Patriarchal Sense from 1925 to 1937. He continued the case of Patriarch Tikhon and remained faithful to his positions. For twelve years he carried a heavy cross of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, being in distant links and single prison cells. Largely due to its stamina, the unity of the church was preserved, torn by its persecutors. Shot in 1937. Famous in the face of new martyrs and confessors of the Russian bishop's cathedral of 1997.
