The hostess of the Spassky Lake. Druzhaeva I.V.
Forest Volga region stretched from Nizhny Novgorod to the Kostroma region and the Republic of Mari El. This region is covered with myths, associated with the important and heroic events of Russian history. Light Volga shores, dense taiga forests, mysterious lakes and rivers store many legends and fairy tales of the peoples living here - Russians, Mari, Mordovians, Tatars. Irina Druzhaeva, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, the author of publications in “Funny Pictures”, “Murzilka”, the winner of the Film Festival “The Radiant Angel” and the Golden Feather of Russia, heard these tales in childhood from her grandmother and other residents of the city and Kerzhensky villages. Literary talent and love for the native land turned folk stories into exciting literary tales.
