James Ponke - the young orphan Maori. He dreamed of traveling all his life, and when the English artist, who was in New Zealand, invites him to London, James is in a hurry to accept an offer.

Now he is a part of the show, a living exhibit. Spends his days dressed up in national clothes, and each for a fee can stare at it. And at night to James, Victorian London open his doors, with all his secrets, dangers and miracles.

But can an exhibit live in a free society and are people who are hiding behind the facade of friendliness so kind?
