The book presents information about the influence of various factors on the fetus leading to impaired embryo and fetogenesis, as well as the cause of perinatal incidence and mortality.

The book pays special attention to the influence of the mother's extragenital diseases on the fetus, possible complications and tactics of conducting during general and urogenital infections during pregnancy are presented. The effect of drug therapy carried out during pregnancy, the fetus and a newborn is considered, the effect of herbal medicine is shown, the role of antioxidants in the prevention of the consequences of oxidative stress is emphasized. Attention was paid to the influence of the bad habits of the mother (tobacco, the use of alcohol, drugs) on the development of the fetus and the newborn.
