The intercessors of the land of Rylskoy

Rylsky Earth - one of the early centers of Orthodoxy in Rus' - from ancient times is known for its traditions of Christian piety, asceticism and enlightenment. Rylsk is both the construction of the first temple relating to the line of the X-XI centuries, and the acquisition of the miraculous icon “Sign” of the Kursk-Breeding Mother of God, and the appearance of the image of St. Nicholas, in the village of Asmolovo (ser. XV century), Both the spiritual school, and the episcopal department and, of course, the Holy Nicolaev Monastery-hundreds of years the unquenchable lamp of monastic prayer. How many Rylsky ascetics have pleased God and gained boldness to pray for us before the throne of the Almighty? We will not recognize this. Like many events of the history of this holy place, their names are hidden in the depths of centuries. But the fresh and unforgettable memory of those who already in our era brightly shone in the sky of our church, deprivations, suffering and blood prudent the truth. In 2000, three saints who occupied the Ryli episcopal department were glorified among the new martyrs and confessors of Russians, in 2003 the whole church celebration of the Cathedral of the Kursk saints was established, including the archpastors who worked on the Ryli land, and in 2010 in the face of the Monk Glinsky Elders Another ascetic was glorified, whose fate was inextricably linked with the Rylsky monastery. So the truth of God walks on our land, erecting us as a rule of faith and the image of piety names of the Ryli saints, whose icon in 2011, with the blessing of the Archbishop of Kursk and Rylsky German, was first written for universal prayer worship.
