The Invisible Man. Invisible Man. In English. Wells G.J.
Herbert Wells (1866–1946) created the future with his works, always emphasizing that the achievements of science in isolation from humanistic values bring a person not prosperity, but new disappointments and problems.
The main character of the novel “Man- Invisibility ”(1897) invents a device and a special drug that make it invisible. However, a scientific breakthrough leads a brilliant scientist to collapse: he is forced to hide his new essence, suffers from cold and hunger and cannot share the joy of a perfect discovery with anyone. Trying to regain a human appearance, he only goes on the path of vice and predictably ends his days as an outcast, who set up people against himself and is torn to be torn to a distraught crowd. According to the evil irony of the author, the invisibility acquired by the hero naturally exposes all the worst in his nature.
