Alisa Selezneva, a girl of the 21st century, who was invented by the famous fiction writer Kir Bulychev, at the end of the second grade goes with his father, professor of biology, on the Spacecraft “Pegasus” to the interstellar scientific expedition to collect rare alien animals for the Moscow zoo. Having accidentally learned about the disappearance of three legendary captains who have robbed the entire galaxy on their starships, the Pegasa crew in large part due to fearless Alice was able to reveal the secret of their disappearance and save their lives, defeating the insidious cosmic pirates.

This fantastic story, first published in 1974, to this day is very popular among all young adventure lovers not only in our country. It is translated into almost all European languages, as well as to Chinese and Japanese. Based on the story, the cartoon "The Secret of the Third Planet" was shot and a computer game was created.
