Who does not know the famous traveler Baron Munchausen? Who did not fascinate with his stories in the fairy -tale world where the most incredible adventures are made at every step?. He was a military man, served in the Russian army, and, returning to his homeland, became famous as a cunning storyteller.

It is not known whether he himself recorded his stories or someone else, but in 1781 some of them were printed. And in 1875, the German writer E. Steppe processed and published them. The glory of the famous baron became so great that many began to retell his stories in their own way, but the author of the book is considered to be E. Rate.
