Young Ricky Alleyn arrived in a picturesque fishing village of Dip Kova to write his first book. The lack of entertainment in this quiet place is compensated by local residents who behave more than strange: the artist is too zealously protecting his sketchbook with paints, and the plumber under the cover of night fishing clearly turns some dark affairs. When an accident occurs in the village - Miss Harkness dies during a horses through the ravine, everyone in the district knew about whose scandalous reputation - Ricky begins his own investigation.
