Elinor Rigby, a journalist from London, receives an anonymous letter. It says that her mother has a criminal past. At the same time, a master reducer from Canada named George Harrison receives the same letter accusing his mother of a serious crime. Anonymous invites both to a meeting in the Saylors cafe in Baltimore at the same time, but it does not come. The victims of his insidious game, having met, find a photograph on the wall of the cafe: two friends at a fun party. This is their mother, and the picture is more than thirty years old. What happened then, in the early 80s? Heroes wander in a frightening maze of riddles, in the center of which is the influential Stanfield family.
