a living and vivid language, the author writes about the life of the pre -war Bialystok, still Polish, about the family, about the beginning of the war and the first repressions against the Jewish population, about the events in which he still participated for the young men. The book, written in the late 1990s, also included the testimonies and memoirs of eyewitnesses of the uprising in the Bialystok ghetto (August 1943), photographs and documents collected by the author in the post -war years.
