The textbook includes the following sections of mathematics: the introduction of sets and combinatorics, real and complex numbers, recurrent equations, mathematical logic, elements of linear algebra and spectral analysis, introduction to the theory of probabilities and mathematical statistics, introduction to mathematical analysis.

The last section of the textbook considers the system of symbolic mathematics Matlab, which allows linguists to apply programming methods in independent copyright studies of text and speech. The maximum proximity to mathematical symbolism simplifies the process of mastering programming in the Matlab system.

The textbook is written on the basis of the course “Mathematical Fundamentals of Humanitarian Knowledge” read by the author at the Moscow State Linguistic University.
