Vsevolod Sergeevich Soloviev (1849-1903)-Russian writer, poet, representative of historical fiction.
Solovyov’s fascination with mysticism and various teachings led him to meet E.P. Blavatsky and Theosophy. However, despite the prevailing friendly relations, the writer sharply criticized the theosophical ideas of Blavatsky in the book “The Modern Priestess of Isis” and entered into a public polemic with the propaganda of Theosophia V.P. Zhelikhovskaya. Some readers reacted to this book negatively, with indignation and disgust, others made it the main source of information about Blavatsky and Theosophy.
