Ebenizer Twizer is a young 511-year-old man. In the attic of his mansion, he holds a monster that eats works of art and rare animals, although sometimes not averse to enjoy a cactus or home cat. In return, the monster spews all kinds of gifts for the Ebenizer, including magic potions that prolong youth and life. But the appetites of the monster are growing, and once he declares that only a juicy fleshy child will satisfy his hunger. So in the house of the Ebenizer, a Bethanie orphan appears. At first, the Ebenizer is amusing himself with the hope that he will feed the monster and his (very long) life will again flow with its turn. But Bethany cannot be called an ordinary orphan...
