The murder of Roger Ekroyd (adapted text in English). Christie A.
In the mid-1920s, the relations of Agatha Christie with the first husband, Colonel Archibald Christie began to deteriorate. He was only interested in golf, he spoke only with his partners in the game, and she, according to the status of a married woman, did not rely on being anywhere without a husband. There was no one to communicate with Agate, but from sad thoughts she was distracted by writing. Instead of boring Archie with her emotional and intellectual thoughts, she indulged in playing with her heroes. She could not be sure that her husband would pay due attention to her, but she knew that she could cause attention, interest and experiences from readers. So she did by writing at the beginning of 1926 her brilliant novel “The Murder of Roger Ekroyd.”
