The Mysterious Garden is the novel by the American writer of English origin Francis Eliza Bernett (1849–1924), which she planned, planning to break the garden near her house in the Plandom on Long Island. The novel tells the story of a ten -year -old Mary Lennox, after the death of his parents sent from British India to England to his uncle, in a deaf medieval estate. Almost all of his numerous rooms are closed, and at night the girl hears someone crying. Mary accidentally learns that in this gloomy house there is a secret garden where no one has been for many years: its gate is locked, and the owner buried the key in the ground. Mary finds new friends, and together they decide to return the garden to life...
