The nature of human conflicts. Objective study of disorganization of human behavior. 2nd edition, erased. Luria A. R.
The book of A.R. Luria "Nature of Human Conflicts" is a special fate. Written in 1930, this book withstood three publications in the United States (1932, 1960, 1976), but has not yet been published in Russian. Despite the 70-year “experience”, this book cannot be considered only as a historical document. Her topic is a disorganization of human behavior, the problem of the interaction of will, affect and behavior. Torture was undertaken to consider the psyche in dynamics, in the unity of conscious and unconscious mechanisms, in the future of onto and pathogenesis. The method of conjugated motor reactions developed for these purposes is the prototype of the modern “lies detector”. A.R. Luria collected the richest material on the conflict of affective processes in various experimental and natural stressful situations. Experiments were conducted with children, students, criminals and people who have a psychic pathology. The results of the study made it possible to formulate a holistic, systematic view of human behavior, describe the techniques of overcoming destructive states, give weight to the psychological method of analyzing neurodynamic processes, seeing the connection between the culture and motor reactions of a person. All this allows us to hope that this book will be read not only as a monument of psychological thought, but also as a brilliant experimental study leading to deep generalizations and trying to answer a number of “eternal” questions.
