The noise of time. Mandelstam O.

Osip Emilievich Mandelstam (1891-1938), one of the largest Russian poets at the beginning of the 20th century, was also a wonderful prose writer. He was born in Warsaw, at the age of six he moved with his family to St. Petersburg, studied in France and Germany, after the revolution he traveled a lot around the country, especially significant travels to the Caucasus for his work. So his poetry and prose became an plexus of the images of global culture. For the poem “We live under us without sensing the country...” Mandelstam was arrested and died in the transit camp of Vladivostok. Mandelstam's work is imbued with such musicality, which, combined with figurative and associative series, makes his poetry and prose an amazingly close, warm and understandable reader. The collection includes the poetic cycles “Stone”, “Tristia”, verses of different years, as well as prose: “noise of time”, “Journey to Armenia”, “Fourth prose”, “Egyptian brand”, literary criticism and journalism.
