The noise of time. Mandelstam O.E.

“To exist is the highest pride of the artist. He does not want another paradise, except for being, ”wrote Osip Mandelstam. The great poet, who changed the very structure of the Russian language, like no one else, managed to feel the air of a cruel era, that “wolfhound century”, who led the poet to death in the transit point of Dalstroy in Vladivostok. But before the Stalinist repressions there was a silver age and Petersburg, the First World War and the Revolution: “The noise of time”, from which the spirit of Osip Mandelstam is the art of a master, organically connected with a word, a harsh and strict artisan.

The book included the chosen poems of Osip Mandelstam, prose and articles of the master who called for “pringing his rightness so that in response we shuddered the whole chain of causes and consequences from alpha to omega.”
