The origin of the family, private property and the state

Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) in the history of human thought is known as one of the founders of Marxism, the co-author of the philosophical and economic works of Karl Marx, including the famous “capital” and “Manifesto of the Communist Party”. “The origin of the family, private property and the state” is one of the most important works of Engels, in which the German philosopher offers the scientific concept of the history of mankind in the early stages of its development, shows how the class society was formed and what its characteristic features are, describes the features of family relations in various social formations, and also analyzes the origin and essence of the state. Like his other works, including “Anti-During”, “Dialectics of Nature”, “The role of violence in history” and many others, this work can be called a classic of a philosophical genre today to read in a new way, given the difficult experience which has accumulated during the tragic and saturated by the events of the 20th century.
